EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso Fire Department held a public 9/11 memorial ceremony on Thursday to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, including the 343 firefighters who gave their lives in the line of duty.
Joined by local dignitaries, fellow first responders, and community members, firefighters gathered Thursday morning at Fire Station 18, located at 7901 San Jose Rd., for a solemn tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and service displayed on that tragic day.
