Suspect shoots store clerk through doorknob hole during robbery in southeast Houston

HOUSTON — Houston police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man accused of shooting a store clerk during an robbery in southeast Houston earlier this year.

Investigators said the robbery happened around 4:25 a.m. on April 25 at a convenience store on Belfort near Mykawa. Police said the suspect walked into the store armed with a small revolver and demanded the clerk open the secure area.

When the clerk didn’t act quickly, police say the suspect shot him in the leg through the doorknob opening…
