Albuquerque man accused of killing 2 dogs will stay in jail

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The man accused of killing two dogs will remain locked up until trial. Police arrested Justin Leverette late last month after they said he shot the dogs in a neighborhood near Expo New Mexico.

Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from an argument between Leverette and his girlfriend’s two brothers. On Wednesday, a judge granted the state’s motion to keep Leverette in custody.
