VIRGINIA — Martinsville police are searching for a suspect accused of shooting a 51-year-old man Wednesday evening.
Officers were dispatched around 8 p.m. on Sept. 10 to the Valero gas station in the 1100 block of Brookdale Street, where they found Brian Steven Martin of Oak Ridge, N.C., suffering from a gunshot wound. Martin was transported to multiple hospitals for treatment, authorities said.
An investigation revealed that the shooting occurred at an apartment complex in the 700 block of Corn Tassell Trail. Police identified 34-year-old Jerod Montez Baker of Martinsville as a suspect in the case. He is wanted for aggravated malicious wounding…
