Man pleads guilty to 2020 fatal apartment shooting

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — A man has been sentenced in connection with a fatal apartment shooting five years ago in Greenville County.

44-year-old Rashad Jamon Stovall pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter Thursday and was sentenced to 28 years in prison by Judge Perry H. Gravely.

The plea stems from the January 16, 2020, shooting death of Lamonte Simmons, Jr., who was found dead from a gunshot wound outside his grandmother’s apartment on Crawford Hill Road in Greenville County…
