The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, 866-366-3723, uses a risk-based inspection reporting process for restaurants and other food handlers.

7-Eleven Store 41826b, 2009 State Rd. Lancaster, September 5. Pass. Hot dogs and Buffalo chicken dogs were held at 129 and 120 degrees F, respectively, on the roller grill, rather than 135 degrees F or above as required. Observed a tan residue inside the soda nozzles and the ice chute. Live dog observed on the premise of the food facility at the front counter. Gallon containers of windshield cleaner observed stored on a shelf with sour gummy worms in the storage room.

Burger King #0581, 1641 Lincoln Highway, Lancaster, September 5. Pass. Food employees observed in prep area, not wearing proper hair restraints, such as beard covers. Observed biofilm buildup on interior of Coke dispenser nozzle at drive-thru (CORRECTED). Observed inside ceiling of ice machine with a buildup of black and peach biofilm. Non-food contact surfaces (Hood vents) not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Plumbing system not maintained in good repair – observed spray nozzle leaking at the 3 bay sink in kitchen & handwash sink in men’s restroom loose and not securely fastened to basin…
