Six alleged gang members indicted in West TN on federal charges including attempted murder

A federal grand jury has returned a nine-count indictment charging six people with a series of violent crimes connected to alleged gang activity in the Western District of Tennessee.

According to a press release issued by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the six suspects are accused of being members of the Unknown Vice Lords (UVL) – Ghost Mob, a subset of the Almighty Vice Lord Nation, which originated in Chicago.

The indictment, unsealed this week, includes charges of conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and firearms offenses. The charges stem from a retaliatory shooting that took place in a residential neighborhood in Memphis in 2020…
