Agents arrest two people after months-long investigation into meth trafficking operation

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Two people were arrested in Brunswick County after a months-long investigation into a methamphetamine trafficking operation.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) reported that on Sept. 10, its Vice and Narcotics Unit agents, backed by the Special Operations Unit, arrested Tori Wayland, 30, and Brian Berry, 46, during a traffic stop, marking the end of the investigation.

BCSO says that during the stop, agents found 170 grams (six ounces) of methamphetamine in the vehicle being driven by Berry. Wayland was a passenger in the car…
