WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Wilmington Fire Department remembered the 343 firefighters who lost their lives during the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001.
The ceremony was held at the Wilmington Fallen Firefighters Memorial, which is located next to Station 2 at Empire Park on Park Avenue. The memorial has a piece of steel from the World Trade Center.
