“I’m about to tell you the weirdest thing you’ve ever heard.”
That’s what body-worn camera footage captured an Irving, Texas, police officer telling a man whose door the officer had just knocked on. The officers were responding to a call from a local man named Luis Valdez, owner of an auto service company, whose blind pet pigeon, Kevin, had gone missing.
Valdez believed that Kevin might have hitched a ride in a customer’s truck bed after a routine inspection, and so the police officers were conducting a bit of a wild goose, er, pigeon, chase.
Thankfully, Kevin was indeed found safe and sound in the bed of the man’s truck, and the officers were able to reunite Valdez with his beloved bird.
