Lincoln police make 14 DUI arrests over 16-day crackdown

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Lincoln Police Department released the results of a specialized traffic enforcement project that focused on impaired drivers.

The effort was part of the nationwide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign and was conducted throughout Lincoln from Aug. 15 to 30.

Additional officers worked overtime during the nights and weekends to conduct high visibility traffic enforcement to help deter impaired driving. They took a zero-tolerance approach to drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol, while also watching for other traffic and safety violations…
