WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Salvation Army will be hosting a food drive Sept. 12-14 at 6 area Dillons Stores to collect food donations. Food received during the drive will benefit families who visit Wichita Salvation Army pantry locations.
The following Dillons locations will have food collection barrels:
- 13415 W. Maple
- 10222 W. 21st Street
- 3707 N. Woodlawn
- 2244 N. Rock Road
- 10515 W. Central
- 3211 S. Seneca St.
Staff and volunteers will be on hand during select times, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. to raise awareness about the drive.
Customers shopping for their groceries are encouraged to pick up a few extra items to donate. The most needed items include:
- Canned vegetables
- Canned fruits
- Canned meats
- Peanut butter
- Jelly
- Pasta
- Pasta Sauce
- Cereal or oatmeal
- “Helper” meal kits
