Zella’s Deli reopens in Swannanoa, serving smiles and sandwiches nearly 1 year post-Helene

SWANNANOA, N.C. (WLOS) — Zella’s Deli & Restaurant is serving sandwiches again, almost one year after the Swannanoa River ripped apart the restaurant along US-70.

“It’s about seeing people come back and, like, offer them a good plate of food at an affordable rate that people love and that makes them happy. That’s what you do this for,” Zella’s co-owner Ivey Lamos said.
