FOREST ACRES, S.C. (WIS) – Two teenagers are facing charges after a Thursday night shooting in Forest Acres.
The Forest Acres Police Department said a pair of 17-year-olds will be charged as adults for attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime after an incident at The Landings Apartments, located off Covenant Road.
Police said officers responded to the complex just before 7:30 p.m. and found an adult victim shot four times outside of their apartment. The victim’s injuries were not considered to be life-threatening. Forest Acres police also said an investigation revealed this was “an isolated crime of opportunity” and noted they believed all parties involved knew each other.
The department said officers also encountered a “chaotic scene” as witnesses reported a suspect fleeing in multiple directions.
