Kilby correctional officer arrested after Auburn traffic stop

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A senior correctional officer with the Alabama Department of Corrections has resigned after being arrested, the ADOC is confirming.

Joshua Joyner worked at Kilby Correctional Facility prior to has arrest in a traffic stop out of Lee County, the ADOC said.

Auburn police took Joyner into custody after a search of the vehicle he was in led to the discovery of around two pounds of marijuana. ADOC narcotics agents were called to the scene where they assisted Auburn in its investigation.

ADOC agents then executed a search warrant at Joyner’s home in Montgomery where another four pounds of marijuana were recovered…
