Events held across Broward County to mark 9/11 terror attacks

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Events are being held Thursday across Broward County to mark the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.

Every year, the Broward County Aviation Department holds a memorial service at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to remember and reflect on the attacks.

On Thursday, dozens of law enforcement officers, TSA agents, first responders, Customs and Border Protection officers, and Broward County officials gathered with heavy hearts to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost in the terror attacks…
