Memphis Police Seek Suspect After Woman’s Car Stolen at Gunpoint from McLemore Avenue Gas Station

A robbery at 221 East McLemore Avenue’s Shell Gas Station on Tuesday has left a woman without her vehicle for several harrowing hours. According to the Memphis Police Department, a man accosted the victim as she was filling up her 2025 Jeep Compass and, pointing a gun at her, he demanded her car keys. The victim complied, and the suspect drove away in her Jeep.

Authorities located the stolen vehicle shortly after the incident but are still searching for the assailant who was captured on the gas station’s surveillance footage entering the store before the robbery, while he was donning a black ski mask and light-colored shirt, black and red shorts and black tennis shoes, and the suspect was armed with a dark-colored handgun, taking off eastbound on McLemore Avenue in her car…
