A 19-year-old man, identified as Rocco Robinson of Stockton, has died following an officer-involved shooting after an alleged confrontation with local law enforcement. The incident occurred Tuesday evening while Stockton police were carrying out a proactive vehicle inspection near the intersection of Doray Court and Pixie Drive.
According to reports by FOX40, officers found Robinson double-parked at the end of Doray Court. The encounter escalated when Robinson attempted to leave the vehicle, resisted orders, and struggled with the police. During the subsequent foot chase, he dropped a loaded firearm and was observed kicking it forward to rearm himself, ultimately prompting the police to fire multiple shots.
Medical aid was rendered on the scene before Robinson was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, as stated by the Stockton Police Department. A “ghost gun” without a serial number, a 31-round extended magazine, and a 17-round extended magazine were found near the deceased, as reported by ABC10.
