Quarters Apartments resident suspected of selling drugs out of her car

A resident of the Quarters Apartments in Lady Lake was arrested on drug charges after deputies found narcotics and baggies in her vehicle.

Deputies stopped 45-year-old Dayna Marie Rosado in a red Mitsubishi passengar car at 2:15 a.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The vehicle had stopped past the white stop bar on Lakeshore Boulevard at the cross of Duncan Drive in Tavares.

Rosado gave the deputies permission to search her vehicle, leading to the discovery of a double-bagged trash bag of clothes. The clothes and a blanket with her name were taken out to reveal a pink box. Inside said box were plastic baggies of methamphetamine, marijuana, a smoking pipe, a Sharpie and more empty baggies, the report said.

The deputies subsequently detained Rosado, who advised that she had been helping a friend named “Tiffany” move earlier that day. She claimed the bag and its contents belonged to her friend, and she did not know the substances were in her vehicle, the report said…
