The numbers are in from the Woodburn Police’s traffic safety crusade.
The Woodburn Police Department, with help from Oregon State Police and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, wrapped up a two-week school traffic safety campaign that ran from Aug. 25 through Sept. 5.
Officers conducted 102 traffic stops in school zones during restricted speed hours, resulting in 76 citations and 44 warnings. Violations included 63 stops for speeding, 17 for cellphone use while driving and 22 for other infractions…
