A Charleston-area man will serve at least a decade in prison after entering a guilty plea on an assault and battery charge for a July, 2024 shooting on Freemont Road in the Longs area.
Xavier Christopher Knight, 27, of Charleston County, was sentenced to 12 years in state prison by Judge Michael G. Nettles on Wednesday, Sept. 10 in Conway. Knight must serve at least 85% of his sentence to be eligible for parole.
