AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — AMARILLO, Texas — A federal grand jury indicted Kevin Hunt, a teenager accused of planning a Fourth of July attack in Canyon, on one count of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.
According to court records obtained by ABC 7 News, Hunt idolized the Oklahoma City bomber and had acquired the chemicals necessary to make homemade bombs, which he had tested.
Hunt was arrested on July 2, just two days before the planned attack, but had been under law enforcement surveillance for months.
