CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Thursday in Cedar Rapids, Grammy-nominated, Emmy-winning comedian Elliott Threat delivered 911 pairs of socks to the Mission of Hope as part of the “Pay It Forward 9/11” initiative.
The national movement encourages people to do three good deeds for strangers every year on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
“Socks are super important. These folks are on their feet all the time they go through socks a lot there’s a reason this is on the top of the Mission of Hope list,” Threatt said. “Everything‘s appreciated and that’s kind of what paying it forward is, so you don’t have to pay it forward huge. Just have to pay it forward with what you’re comfortable with, what you’re blessed to be able to do.”…
