Nashville’s Nate Bargatze to host Primetime Emmys

Comedian Nate Bargatze, arguably Nashville’s biggest hype man, will emcee the Emmys this weekend.

The intrigue: We’d say the odds are good that he’ll mention Music City at some point during the ceremony.

Flashback: Bargatze has talked up his hometown in several high-profile settings. He sells hoodies emblazoned with his Old Hickory-area ZIP code 37138, and he wore one while hosting “Saturday Night Live.” He recorded public safety announcements for the Nashville airport.
