States like Iowa seeing nitrogen loss from frequent summer rains

An abnormally wet summer in parts of the Corn Belt likely resulted in some nitrogen loss.

Ty Stender with Corteva Agriscience says northern Iowa was one area that saw heavy rains in June and July.

“And just overall a pretty wet year that has lead to a little bit of nitrogen loss, that’s showing up in some of the crops right about now.”…
