Si-Fi rock legends, Coheed and Cambria, ended their Texas run of shows of their summer tour in Irving on Wednesday. Fans of all ages packed the amphitheater, ecstatic for a night full of unmatched energy and kickass music.
The night was filled with a whirlwind of music from St. Louis natives Foxing and 2000s emo icons Taking Back Sunday. Foxing brought an electrifying performance that combined a mix of sing-worthy choruses and punching vocals. Taking Back Sunday brought the dance moves and nostalgia perfect for every elder emo in the audience.
Coheed opened with their hit, ‘Goodbye, Sunshine,’ which was enough to get every person prepared to sing their hearts out for the rest of the night. The set design referenced their album art for the single ‘Blind Side Sonny,’ which brought looks of excitement and awe to many in the crowd. The hypnotizing and head-banging guitar riffs of their closing track, ‘Welcome Home,’ were the perfect soundtrack to the end of a memorable night…
