WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — In the skies over the National Mall, the United States Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, known as the Thunderbirds, performed a photoshoot.
On Friday, the six Thunderbirds took off around 8:15 a.m. on Friday, and another Thunderbird followed behind the formation. Together, the crew traveled to other landmarks across the nation’s capital.

The team will also be joined by a C-17 for an additional pass about 30 minutes later.
