Albany, NY (WRGB) — Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon announced, 36-year-old Keron Payne has been sentenced to 18 years in state prison for the beating death of Jieshi Williams.
Williams was found unresponsive by Albany Police on February 23, 2024, at a home on Clinton Avenue. The incident occurred after a fight broke out at a party where Williams and his girlfriend were drinking with Payne and his girlfriend. Payne assaulted Williams with his hands and a shoe, resulting in severe head trauma. Williams died at the scene, and Payne was arrested on March 19, 2024.
