Xcel Energy volunteers help build future for Amarillo family

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — More than 25 volunteers from Xcel Energy joined forces with Habitat for Humanity to help build a new home for Daina Anderson and her family. Anderson, the future homeowner, expressed her gratitude for the volunteers’ efforts.

“It just looks like love, it’s like so crazy because everybody out here you can feel their excitement for you, you know what I mean? And you can sense a sense of genuine care and just love and camaraderie, and so I kind of feel like I’m becoming a part of their team by just them being out here, and it just warms my heart a lot,” said Anderson.
