WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Meteorologist Jake Dunne says we will see two rounds of rain today. The first will be a relatively benign batch of showers moving from west to east this morning, arriving in the Wichita area by midday. Additional storms will start over western/central Kansas this afternoon and move east through this evening. These storms will be strong, if not severe producing large hail, gusty winds, and locally heavy rainfall.
After a cooler Sunday afternoon in the lower to middle 80s, dry and warm conditions return to the state on Monday and Tuesday as temperatures top-out in the upper 80s and lower 90s.
Our next cold front will begin moving across Kansas on Wednesday bringing showers and storms back to state. Chances will begin as early as Tuesday evening in the northwest corner of Kansas and may linger into Wednesday night in the Wichita area…
