AKRON, Ohio (WJW) – A pregnant woman was assisted to safety as an Akron home erupted in flames Saturday evening.
According to a press release from the Akron Fire Department, firefighters responded to a fire at a two-story home on the 900 block of Lovers Lane in East Akron just before 8:25 p.m.

According to the release, there was heavy fire and smoke on the side and rear of the home when crews arrived at the scene.
