Leeds to unveil new pickleball courts with ribbon-cutting ceremony

LEEDS, Ala. — The City of Leeds is set to celebrate the grand opening of its latest recreational facility, the Leeds Pickleball Courts, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 980 Park Drive.

The state-of-the-art facility features 12 regulation-size courts under a protective roof and professional-grade lighting for both daytime and evening play. The project, which cost $1.7 million, underscores the city’s commitment to enhancing recreational opportunities for its residents.

Mayor David Miller highlighted the significance of the new courts, saying, “Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in America, and our new courts give Leeds residents a top-quality place to gather, stay active, and build community.
