Small earthquake shakes SC

WACH — A minor earthquake shook parts of South Carolina on Saturday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The 1.7-magnitude quake hit at 8:28 p.m. local time about 4.5 miles southeast of Ware Shoals near the Earth’s surface. The tremor was recorded at a depth of zero miles.
