The former executive chef for Rose Pistola in North Beach and Ottavio in Walnut Creek — both now closed, was arrested for allegedly robbing three San Francisco banks on Wednesday. The chef also has a previous bank robbery arrest from 2018 in Orinda.
As KRON4 reports, San Francisco police responded to a report of a robbery at a bank on the 1100 block of Grant Avenue in North Beach. The suspect, Valentin Luchin, 62, passed a note to the clerk demanding cash, around Noon, as Bay City News reports. The clerk handed over the money, and the suspect fled the scene. Two additional such robberies reportedly occurred later in the day.
