KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department took part in a Drone as First Responder demonstration last week to evaluate the technology and its potential impact on police operations.
All week, the DFR dock was stationed at the Public Safety Complex and deployed to assist at certain nearby calls, according to KPD. Once deployed, the DFR drone was piloted out of the future site of KPD’s Real Time Information Center.
