Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge celebrates 65 years with free concerts on lower Broadway

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge is hosting its annual Birthday Bash on lower Broadway Sunday, celebrating 65 years of business with a free street party for all ages.

Performances begin around 11 a.m. Sunday at a stage on the Bridgestone Arena side of Rep. John Lewis Way. The day starts with performances from the “new faces” of Broadway, leading into The Carolina Company band, Hippies and Cowboys, The C-Dock Boyz and the Mantz Brothers.

The night will finish off with Jake Owen, Randy Houser, Colt Ford, Lee Brice, Montgomery Gentry, George Birge and two surprise guests. Events are expected to wrap up around 11 p.m. Sunday.

A portion of lower Broadway from 4th Avenue to 6th Avenue and John Lewis Way from Demonbreun Street to Commerce Street will close for the event…
