California Heat Alert: Sacramento Valley Temps Near 100° Through Midweek

Sacramento, Calif. – A surge of September heat is set to grip Sacramento and much of the Central Valley early this week, with temperatures climbing into the upper 90s by Tuesday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, Sacramento will see highs near 93° on Monday before peaking at 97° on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Clear skies and calm winds will provide little relief, and overnight lows in the mid-60s mean homes without cooling could struggle to cool down.

The heat will stretch across Northern California, raising concerns for outdoor workers, students, and vulnerable residents in areas like Elk Grove, Roseville, and Davis.
