GREECE, N.Y. (WROC) — Organizers and supporters of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States advocated for veteran suicide awareness in the Walkathon for Veterans on Sunday.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States (VFW) is a nonprofit organization that includes veterans and military service members from the active, guard, and reserve forces. The event titled ‘Walk 22’ is held annually and focuses on the mental health challenges and prevalence of suicide among veterans.
