After a childhood spent barely moving my body because I was horribly uncoordinated and very bad at sports, I finally discovered yoga when I was 22, and was immediately hooked. I’ve never taken easily to any kind of choreography (did I mention I’m uncoordinated?), but once I’d taken about 10 classes, I got the moves down and never looked back. It was so calming and invigorating, and I loved the new flexibility and openness I started to feel in my body.I went on to become a certified yoga instructor in 2013, and I still do yoga a few times a week at my local studio. While there are plenty of great yoga classes on YouTube, I’m very much partial to the in-person options. I love the community feeling I get from moving and breathing with others, so any time I’m traveling, I always look for a yoga studio in the city I’m visiting.Related: The Simple Tweak Yoga Instructors Say Can Make You Way More Flexible
