A day after a home win against Oregon State, getting to 3-0 in non-conference play and setting up a Top 20 matchup next weekend in Utah – the Texas Tech coaching staff landed a huge commitment from Prosper (TX) offensive tackle Bryce Gilmore, a Rivals300 four-star prospect.
Gilmore says he is “locked in” with Texas Tech
The nation’s No. 172 overall ranked prospect gives the Red Raiders three (3) straight top rated offensive lineman commitments from Prosper (TX) High School over the last three (3) recruiting classes – starting with Ellis Davis in 2024, then Connor Carty in 2025 and now Gilmore in the 2026 recruiting class.
Gilmore pointed to his relationship with the Texas Tech coaches and his familiarity with former teammates on the roster as key reasons he committed to the Red Raiders.
“I would say knowing that I would be developed there and having my former teammates (Ellis and Connor) there also helps with the transition from high school to college football. It feels great to be locked in and not have to worry which college I’m going to attend. I just have to focus on school and football now, so it’s truly exciting.”
