BOISE COUNTY, Idaho — Highway 55 is now open after being completely closed to traffic due to a brush fire burning in the area, the Boise County Sheriff’s Office announced.
The highway opened to a single lane in each direction at 7:00 p.m. The Eagle Fire Chief, Tyler Lewis, told KTVB it will remain that way for the next two to three hours, completely opening sometime around 10:00 p.m., and crews will continue to mop up any hot spots through the evening.
