AFR, BCSO compete in Samson Challenge

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Fire Rescue and the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office went head-to-head in a friendly competition. At this year’s 10th Annual Samson Challenge, athletes as young as five and as old as 82 tried their hand at extreme sports like flipping tires and wading through water.

This year, the event hosted by the Albuquerque Jewish Community Center added a unique challenge called the Fire Truck Pull. Event coordinators say the fire engine weighs over 30,000 pounds.
