SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness month. KELOLAND’s Dan Santella and 11 other runners are lacing up their shoes to begin their journey across the entirety of South Dakota.

In the KELOLAND Media Group studio, Santella spoke with Dr. David Ermer, a psychiatrist and the Clinical Vice President for Avera Behavioral Health, Chantelle Friedman, a founder of Live Inspired 365 and Kelly Marshall, one of The 437 Project’s leaders.
The journey will kick off on September 25th in Rapid City and finish up in Sioux Falls on September 28th. From start to finish — there will be events people can attend to help encourage runners and be a part of the fun by playing yard games, participating in raffles and enjoying food.
