SHERWOOD, Ore. (KATU) — Officers from the Sherwood Police Department had an unusual start to their shift on Saturday when they responded to a call about cows roaming through a neighborhood, blocking roadways and causing what the department described as “udder mayhem.”
The incident, which the department humorously referred to as a “moomergency,” involved multiple cows that had escaped from their pasture by breaking through a fence.
The police department’s Facebook post dubbed the runaway herd the “#SirLoinSquad.”
Officers, along with community members, worked together to guide the cows back to safety. The animals were eventually picked up by their owner and returned to their pasture…
