Walmart Employee Reveals 8 Favorite Finds

Additional Coverage:

Working at Walmart for the past year has turned me into a devoted shopper. Who knew?

I used to only pop in for the occasional special item, but now I’m a regular in the grocery aisles. Here are some of my Walmart must-haves:

Dinner Winner: The fried chicken from the deli is a weeknight game-changer. Crispy, crunchy, and not too greasy, it reheats surprisingly well, unlike other grocery store or fast-food chicken I’ve tried.

Sweet Treat: Move over, name brands! Great Value chocolate ice cream is rich, creamy, and totally satisfying.

Bagel Bliss: All the Walmart bagels are good, but the Bettergoods double-cheese bagels are my absolute favorite. Toasted or straight from the bag, they’re delicious. Pro tip: add some chive and onion cream cheese.

Produce Pick: The watermelons are the stars of the produce section. Juicy and refreshing, they’re perfect on their own or chilled with a sprinkle of salt.

Pizza Perfection: Red Baron French bread pizza, especially the pepperoni, is a freezer aisle staple. I like to air fry two slices for a quick and easy meal.

Churro Craving: The limited-edition churro-flavored Kit Kats are a current obsession. The sweet, churro-flavored cream is like a taste of the county fair.

Southern Comfort: Patti LaBelle’s sweet-potato pie from the bakery is a nostalgic treat. It tastes just like homemade, especially with a dollop of whipped cream.

Refreshing Sip: Mountain Lightning soda is a great alternative to Mountain Dew. Tangy and citrusy, it’s delicious on its own or mixed into cocktails.
