Steve Harvey, the quick-witted host of “Family Feud,” is known for his hilarious reactions to contestants’ antics. He’s been known to lose it when families take too long to answer or support outlandish responses. But in one memorable episode, Harvey playfully scolded Toni Braxton and her sisters for not being supportive enough.
When Trina Braxton, fresh off a divorce, gave the answer “a car seat” to the prompt “Name something a wife would hate to see her ex-husband buy right after their divorce,” her sisters’ disappointed reactions prompted Harvey to intervene. “When your family gives an answer,” he instructed, “you’re supposed to say, ‘Good answer, good answer, good answer!’”
Harvey’s impatience also extends to pre-game celebrations. In a face-off between the Bentcliff and Avery families, contestants Chris and Melissa took a little too long to reach the podium, caught up in the excitement.
“All this high-fiving on the way in, just come up to the podium,” Harvey quipped. Mimicking Melissa, he added, “‘Hey, girl, how are you doing?
How are you doing?’ Child, get up to this podium!”
Despite the slow start, Melissa quickly buzzed in with “a ship” to the question “Name something that you’d hate to be on when it malfunctions.” Although her answer made the board, Chris’s “roller coaster” took the top spot.
The Bentcliff family then proceeded to dominate the round. With only one answer remaining, Cathy stepped up to the plate.
After Harvey repeated the question, she confidently replied, “I’d hate to be on an elevator.” A stunned Harvey could only respond with a simple, “Wow.”
The Bentcliff family celebrated a clean sweep victory.
