Georgia officer shot in the face may soon be removed from ICU at Chattanooga hospital

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — A Georgia police officer is recovering in intensive care in Chattanooga after he was shot in the face while responding to a call about a suspicious person.

Captain Brantley Worley was shot in the head and neck late Friday night in McCaysville, Georgia, in Fannin County.

Police say the man responsible is now in custody, after a manhunt that lasted almost 24 hours…
