Ohio’s HBCUs may benefit from new federal funding repurposed from canceled grants

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Ohio’s two historically Black universities stand to gain new funding after the Department of Education announced it was repurposing canceled program funds to support new investments.

On Monday, the Department of Education announced it will make “historic” investments in charter schools, American civics programs, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities.
