ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A man is in custody after being accused of strangling a woman in Asheboro, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
On Saturday, deputies came to the area of US 220 Business South in Asheboro and found a woman suffering from visible injuries as a result of an assault.
27-year-old Martavius Lemar Drake has been taken into custody and is charged with felony assault by strangulation, two counts of misdemeanor assault on a female and three counts of resisting a public officer.
Drake was not issued bond and his first court appearance was scheduled for Monday…
