Penguins flock at night in Kim Duyst Invitational

TURLOCK, Calif.- Dominican men’s and women’s cross country traveled down south Saturday night to compete in the Kim Duyst Twilight Invitational to kick off their 2025 campaign. The men’s team would place in the top 15 with graduate student Rob Dawson leading the way with a time 26:26.6. As for the Dominican women’s team they placed in 14th led by graduate student leader Bella Bueno posting a time of 23:54.1.

Sophomore Diego Montag was second on the team finishing with a time of 26:42.2 while freshman Louie Etta had a strong debut posting the third best time for the Pengs clocking a 27:20.7.

Sarah Chavez, the San Bruno native, ran strong finishing second on the team with a time of 25:27.5. Karsyn Walton, Sienna Fassett, and Valeria Ramirez Contreras rounded out the times for the women’s team posting a 26:52.7, 27:37.5, and 31:55.2…
